That year, the water changed everything. The Barrio del Carmen was flooded; neighbors helping neighbors. Pilar, handing out food and blankets. Paco, cleaning streets. They crossed paths in the mud and a story began that has not faded.
La Riuà (the flood, in Valencian) remembers that day when misfortune united two people and marked our values: helping, respecting, and doing things right.

Paco ran the family barbershop and Pilar built a small popcorn business that grew throughout the neighborhood.
With their savings, they opened an eating house on Calle Sogueros: nine tables, honest Valencian cuisine, and close treatment.
In 1982 they moved to the current premises, larger and with three rooms, maintaining the warmth of a neighborhood house.
